With more details and info to come in June, most likely at Square Enix's own E3 2019 presentation. The new trailer which looks to be made up entirely of in-engine and in-game footage showcases the incredible detail being put into the Final Fantasy VII remake. A project that has had a bit of rocky go of it, as the development team changed a while back with Square Enix now in charge.
The new trailer debuted as part of Sony's latest Sate of Play stream from earlier today. Yoshinori Kitase (Producer, Square-Enix) said, "We hope you enjoyed the footage shown during the State of Play stream. It was quite short, but hopefully you enjoyed seeing Cloud and Aerith brought back to life with such realistic graphics."
Adding that the minute long trailer is simply "a taste of what’s to come" next month. Based on the footage, it looks to include locations from the early parts of the game, possibly hinting that Square Enix plans to release the Final Fantasy VII Remake in episodic form. Also, it looks like the combat will retain the turn-based presentation of the original - with a more dynamic camera system. And of course those visuals, which look spectacular.
