Including a one-time bonus of 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Soul Fragments, and 1,000 Time Krystals "for everyone". Which is all based around the mode used to unlock all of the in-game goodies, called Towers of Time, being widely perceived as slow and difficult. So much so that many began looking at Mortal Kombat 11's position on micro-transactions as a necessity in order to unlock skins and bonuses.
The patch which will hit all platforms in waves, aims to reduce the overall difficulty of the mode and the severity of the modifiers found within (stuff like ground that burns over time and projectiles flying in to freeze players) - alongside increasing the rewards handed out. With
patch highlights stating:
Reduce AI difficulty
Increased Kurrency rewards in Towers of Time
Character tuning to reduce difficulty in Towers of Time
Reduce AI health to reduce difficulty in Towers of Time
A definite step in the right direction, but also one that points to the reward system being somewhat broken at launch. Outside of that though Mortal Kombat 11 is a solid fighter, and we'll be bringing you our full review soon.
