With five titles across these franchises now playable on the Xbox One X via Xbox 360 backwards compatibility with 4K enhancement. A technique that has done wonders for older titles like Red Dead Redemption and Halo 3 among others. And with E3 right around the corner, and Microsoft set to unveil its next-gen console - perhaps this is foreshadowing a return for both franchises.

Both popular series that have skipped the current generation of consoles. The full list of newly Xbox One X Enhanced titles is as follows:
  • Splinter Cell: Double Agent
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction
  • Splinter Cell: Blacklist
  • Fable 2
  • Fable 3

Where most of the above is currently discounted as part of the Xbox Autumn Sale on at the moment.
