Although not officially announced by Microsoft, a new Xbox Game Pass tier is apparently on the cards called Ultimate - which as per the headline will combine the game subscription service with Xbox Live Gold. That thing that lets you play games online.
The revelation came via
Twitter user h0x0d, with the American pricing of $14.99 per month listed. Reports also point to the combined bundle being announced alongside the long-rumoured disc-free Xbox One S console due later this month.
It's a move that makes sense as Microsoft continues to improve Xbox Game Pass with a suite of first-party offerings - most of which featuring robust or online components key to the experience. Like Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 4, State of Decay 2, and Crackdown 3. And the recent addition of Minecraft.
This could also pave the way for the company's planned streaming service - Project xCloud that is expected to hit certain markets later this year.
