Announced at E3 last year the standalone expansion, or Wolfenstein side-story, Wolfenstein: Youngblood has been given a release date of July 26. Which is right around the corner. Set in the 1980s, the solo or co-op cinematic action romp full of neon-lit Nazi slaying puts players in the role of BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters, Jess or Soph.
And it looks excellent.
PARIS, 1980.
BJ Blazkowicz, hero of the second American Revolution, is missing. Nineteen years after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, BJ has disappeared after a mission into Nazi-occupied Paris. Now, after years of training and guidance from their battle-hardened father, BJ’s twin daughters Jess and Soph are forced into action. Team up with a new cast of freedom fighters and brave the unsettling sights and sounds of twisted, alternate reality 1980s Paris.
With development on the project being a collaboration between MachineGames and Arkane Studios, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. A Deluxe Edition will be available at launch too, where in addition in-game cosmetic bonuses like a Cyborg Skin Pack a Buddy Pass will let a friend play for free so they can get in on the taking out of fascists - with extreme prejudice.
