It's been a wild ride so far regarding Nightdive Studios' System Shock remake - a project that initially aimed to recreate the 1994 classic with a modern look and feel. Where after a successful crowdfunding campaign the scope of the project grew to become a sort of reboot or re-imagining. And with the scope growing too large, the title was put on hold where it's now back in remake territory.
With the project now targeting a 2020 release, Nightdive Studios has released a 20 minute gameplay clip of the opening level showcasing that it's very much in-line with the original vision.
As pre-Alpha footage a lot of what we see is work in progress, but so-far it's looking very good. And very much like the System Shock remake we've been wanting to see since it was originally announced.
