Credible tech news site Thurott somehow got their hands on an internal email sent by Xbox head Phil Spencer regarding yersterday's huge
Google Stadia reveal. In the email he states that he wasn't too surprised by the 4K 60fps streaming platform's ambition but was impressed by the "leveraging of YouTube, the use of Google Assistant and the new WiFi controller."
Where he goes on to state, "There has been really good work to get us to the position where we are poised to compete for 2 billion gamers across the planet. Google went big today and we have a couple of months until E3 when we will go big."
Adding that the customer remains at the center of Xbox plans for the future. Microsoft is gearing up to roll-out trials of its new Project xCloud service which will no doubt integrate or be some part of the already excellent Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Phil's email closes with "it’s all about execution", and with E3 only a few months out - no doubt the big Xbox Briefing will be one to watch.
