With Battlefield V still on track to get its long talked about battle royale mode, Firestorm, later this month - it's strange that we still don't know a lot about how it will work. Well, in an apparent breakdown video that has leaked - the answer is a lot like other battle royale games out there. With added Battlefield.
Check it out.
And yeah, it's definitely Battlefield Battle Royale - with a huge map, a level playing field and the ability to play in Solo, Duos, or Squad. The survival element that the genre is known for is here with players scavenging for gear and weapons - that will come in different rarities. With higher level guns offering bonuses in the form of scopes, extended magazines, and other bonuses like recoil reduction. Ammunition will be split across gun categories and backpacks will determine how much you can carry. So yeah, this will feature all of the inventory stuff we've seen across the other major entries in the genre.
As this video was leaked by YouTuber JROBtheFinesser, there's still no word on a release date. But as this looks like a legit tutorial for Firestorm - we can probably expect an official announcement and launch soon. Perhaps even in a couple of days, much like we saw when Apex Legends leaked days before reveal and release.
