With its recent acquisition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios, plus a long list of franchises including Darksiders, Alone in the Dark, Carmageddon, TimeSplitters, and more - THQ Nordic is just getting warmed up. As reported over at
GamesIndustry.biz the publisher has raised over $225 milliion USD and plans to use it to continue shopping.
Where in a statement related to the influx of money it was noted that it would be for "new acquisitions of franchises, game development studios or other assets which complement the operations, and to enable a higher rate of investment in the development of the Company."
As we continue to see THQ Nordic grow, it's great to see this level of investment in what one might consider mid-tier productions. Titles that may not be AAA-level names or events, but still very much beloved.
