After its surprise drop last week, the legend of Apex Legends continues to grow. With the Titanfall-verse battle royale now boasting an impressive 25 million players alongside hitting a 2 million concurrent milestone. Respawn's Vince Zampella made the announcement via a first-week recap that also points to a few massive updates coming.
It's no surprise that Apex Legends is currently one of the most watched games on Twitch.
With Season One set to begin next month, bringing with it a Battle Pass alongside new Legends, weapons, loot, and more. The seasons will last three months with two more planned for 2019 - all bringing with them new content. In the immediate future some Valentine's Day themed loot is expected later this week.
No doubt Apex Legends is an instant hit, one that Respawn deserves, with Vince saying, "The community’s excitement for Apex Legends is electric, and we feel it here at the studio. We couldn’t have gotten where we are without you and look forward to having you on this journey with us."
