Yesterday's surprise announcement of a new battle royale game set in the Titanfall universe no doubt grabbed everyone's attention. And their curiosity too, as less than 8 hours after going live across PC, PS4, and Xbox One - over 1 million unique players had logged in to check it out. So far word has been mostly positive, thanks in part to Respawn's knack for creating shooters that, well, 'feel good'.
Respawn head Vince Zampella posted the milestone on Twitter.
Over on Reddit
, the studio is also asking the community for feedback as it plans to fine tune, tweak, and update Apex Legends moving forward. Asking the following questions:
How do weapons feel? Distinct? Samey?
Do Legend abilities feel effective?
Are you finding loot quickly enough? Is ammo too hard to find? Is a type of ammo feel to scarce?
What areas of the game could be explained better?
What do you wish Apex had that it doesn’t
What are your favorite cosmetics?
One of the biggest questions so far seems to be around cross-play which is currently not available. Respawn plans to add the feature in a future update. The other big ask is for a shooting range to complement the Training Mode so players can test out each of the playable Legends. In terms of the actual gameplay so far people are digging it. If you've had the time to check it out, be sure to let us know your thoughts.
