Announced in 2013 the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III from Square Enix and Disney is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The series which blends the grand fantastical stories of Square Enix RPGs with the various worlds and characters from Disney and Pixar has a deep lore and history that is notoriously complicated. So if you're wondering just what exactly it's all about - know that there's no short answer.

Instead watch the following bright and vibrant gameplay overview. And not worry too much about the apparently very dramatic reasons Toy Story characters are teaming up with Frozen characters to stop an encroaching darkness.

Kingdom Hearts fan, like all fans, are passionate - and have eagerly been awaiting this release. So, for many out there this is the equivalent of getting a new Star Wars movie after waiting a decade.

“I am thrilled that KINGDOM HEARTS III is now officially out,” said Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the KINGDOM HEARTS series. “There are many mysteries in the story, so players will want to take their time so that they don’t miss anything. The adventure lies within the journey, and not just the destination. This story marks one of the greatest experiences Sora will have with his friends, so I hope that the players enjoy it. To all of our fans around the world, thank you for eagerly awaiting this day.”

A sweet sentiment to be sure. But, the following will never ever stop looking weird.
