Built on an upgraded version of the classic Build engine, the same tech behind both Duke Nukem 3D and the original Shadow Warrior, Ion Maiden is very much a retro FPS. From Voidpoint and 3D Realms, Ion Maiden is coming to PC and consoles Q2 2019 and with an early version available to play via Steam Early Access - today sees the launch of a new level, Heskel's House of Horrors.

Which taps into another '90s videogame trend, the old haunted-style house. Check it out.

In addition to the new location the new update also introduces a secondary fire mode for all weapons - which will no doubt ramp up the combat in fun new ways.
