Based on the Orange Justice dance move made popular by the Orange Shirt Kid - as part of a Fortnite BoogieDown contest. The emote made wasn't chosen as the winner, with contest details explicitly stating that all rights to the dance would be forfeit. A community campaign rallied around Orange Shirt Kid to get the emote into the game, apparently with Orange Shirt Kid's blessing. Except that now his mother is suing Epic.
Joining law suits for other emote dances based on popular online viral videos and the Carlton dance from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. All of the complaints and suits are being handled by the same law firm too, with news of the latest legal dance battle reported over at
Variety.
