With Grip Digital handling port duties for the release of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in 2019. With Microsoft acquiring developer Obsidian Entertainment last month, no doubt the non-Xbox versions were already in development. Alongside the multi-platform release for the excellent looking The Outer Worlds - it's great to see Microsoft letting current projects play out as intended.

As per early word from Obsidian, the console version of Pillars of Eternity II will feature all expansions, updates, and free bits of DLC at launch. Very cool. As per our review, we hailed it as one of the best RPGs to come along in a while, stating "As seen with Tyranny, Obsidian has once again created a deep story-driven experience that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of skill."
