During one of of those financial earnings calls that happen with large coprorations, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella confirmed that the Xbox Game Pass subscription service will be coming to PC and that it will be a "big element" of its gaming strategy on the platform in the near future.

No details were given on when, or even how as most of the titles on the service are currently Xbox One specific - but it's good to know that plans are in place. Mainly because for just over $11 a month Xbox Game Pass gives players access to a library of over 200 new and old games covering the Xbox 360 and current Xbox One era. Including all first-party efforts like the excellent Forza Horizon 4 and third-party big hitters like The Division, Fallout 4, and indies like Warhammer Vermintide 2.

In fact, as a pure value for money service with the option to download and play any game on offer Xbox Game Pass has quietly become a must-have service for the platform. And with Microsoft investing more now than it has in pure game development, the service will no doubt continue to grow. Coming to PC naturally raises a few questions in relation to the library, but with Xbox Play Anywhere available on all first-party games the transition should be smooth.
