Coming to PlayStation 4 and Steam in 2019, Square Enix's Left Alive is being described as a survival action shooter - but one set in a dystopian future. In a war-torn city that thankfully you can jet around in a giant mech suit. Visually it looks very anime, but in a style that reminds us a little of Final Fantasy XV.

And we wouldn't be surprised if it's using the same engine.

LEFT ALIVE brings together veteran developers, Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa from KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS (character designer, METAL GEAR series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X) to create a dark and gritty world.

The gritty setting will also pave the way for a story that will be told from three different perspectives, and include the option to play stealthily in addition to straight up action.
