With the previously mobile-only Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition making ts way to Xbox One and PS4, with a Nintendo Switch release due sometime in the near future. A condensed, highly stylised version of the full game Pocket Edition still manages to feature all the big story beats and fun moments from the excellent RPG and present it in a new way.

As a mobile release most of the interaction is automated with minimal input - so less open-world than a scripted re-telling of the Final Fantasy XV story with cutesy characters. And the same amount of Chocobos.

The console release of Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is touted as the HD version so we can probably expect a higher resolution than the mobile release. And hey, it may not be the full Final Fantasy XV for Nintendo Switch - but we'll take it.
