At the Melbourne Esports Open over the weekend the top Overwatch teams in Australia and New Zealand came together for the Overwatch Contenders Australia Season 2 finals. With Dark Sided, ORDER, Kanga Esports and the Sydney Drop Bears competing for their share of the $69,000 AUD prize pool.

The final saw Dark Sided go up against the Sydnet Dorp Bears who were able to repeat last year's performance with decisive 4-1 victory to take the crown. Dark Sided were tipped as favourites going into the match-up but after taking the first round at Lijiang Tower the Drop Bears found their groove and were able to win match after match.
