With TEG and ESL announcing Fortnite Stage in Margaret Court Arena, as part of one of the largest ever Esports events in Australia - the Melbourne Esports Open - which takes place over September 1-2. An additional “Fortnite Free-Play Field” is also coming that will offer attendees of all ages to hop in for some Fortnite, in addition to the fans versus content creators action on the main stage.

“We are very excited to announce that we will be showcasing Fortnite across both days of the Melbourne Esports Open on a dedicated stage in Margaret Court Arena” said Tim McGregor, Managing Director TEG Live. “For us, this was the final piece of the puzzle in making MEO 2018 a truly epic event for Australian gaming fans of all ages.”

Fortnite joins heavy hitters the Overwatch Contenders Australia Season 2 Finals held on Saturday, September 1, with Riot Games inking a multi-year deal for the League of Legends Oceanic Pro League Finals to be held at the Melbourne Esports Open until 2022. Which is happening on the Sunday. Tickets for either the Saturday, Sunday or entire weekend are available to purchase here.
