Out August 14, Phantom Doctrine from Good Shepherd Entertainment and independent developer CreativeForge Games offers up tactical XCOM-style turn-based action set during the height of the Cold War. A setting that we instantly fell in love with during our recent hands-on preview. Today a new gameplay breakdown showcases just how much detail can be found in the game.

Where espionage and spycraft are at the forefront of everything from mission design through to preparation and investigation to discover new threats.

Where in addition to the above the lengthy single-player campaign lets players choose sides to tackle the story as either the CIA or KGB. Phantom Doctrine launches August 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC (via Steam and GOG).
