In that the World of Warcraft community is, well, "reacting" in a number of ways to the new Battle for Azeroth animated short Warbringers: Sylvanas. Where the ex-High Elf turned undead Warchief of the Horde does something so evil that both sides of the community are, well, unsure on how to respond.

Watch.

Yep, that's Sylvanas ordering the destruction of the World Tree, murdering innocent Night Elves in their homeland. A move that is so villainous that players who identify as Horde are struggling to come to terms with the act, in addition to the many Night Elf players who have spent over a decade associating deeply with their chosen race and the tranquility of the World Tree.

So why the fuss? Well, in some ways it positions the two sides for the Battle for Azeroth as more black and white than ever before - with the Alliance being the good guys and the Horde now seen as over-the-top evil villains. But, it's good to note that this comes as part of the World of Warcrat War of the Thorns pre-expansion event, and the full expansion isn't even out yet. There's definitely more story to come, with fans hoping that there's some form of redemption arc, for lack of a better term, for the Horde.
