A month ago Valve revealed the all-new look for Steam Chat, which had many of us thinking "right, so basically Discord". Apart from that somewhat cynical reaction the long-overdue update impressed with proper group chats with full multimedia embeds and uploads and shares. Plus the ability to properly see what friends are up to.

Available now as part of the latest Steam update or via web browser, the fresh new look is immediately cleaner and, well, more modern.
