With the Battle for Azeroth pre-patch now live for World of Warcraft, comes the added bonus that all subscribers now have access to all past expansions up to and including Legion. With no need to purchase the base game. Previously players had to purchase the base game and any expansions they wanted to play, so this shift is a major one for WoW.

Of course the next expansion, Battle for Azeroth, which launches August 14 across Americas, Europe, Taiwan, Korea, and Australia/New Zealand at the same time - is a separate purchase. But with well over a decade of history and seven expansions it's great to see this change.
