With Valve openly disagreeing with the ruling, the deadline of June 20 imposed by the Netherlands Gaming Authority saw both Steam trading and Steam Market functionality disabled.

And now with access to both re-opened, players across both regions are no longer able to open cases. Instead access to per-item trading means access to stuff but without the random nature of opening loot boxes. Although by complying with the ruling places some focus on Valve and the controversial nature of CS:GO item trading, there are still several games that are flying under the radar and seemingly ignoring the new ruling in these countries.
