With the regular season of Overwatch League concluding this past weekend, came the hard-earned victory for Los Angeles Valiant (27-13) as they defeated the New York Excelsior (34-6) at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles. This one definitely feels good for Australian fans as the Los Angeles Valiant is home to two Aussies – Support Player, Scott ‘Custa’ Kennedy and Assistant Coach, Jordan ‘Gunba’ Graham.

The Valiant took the Stage 4 finals, winning the best-of-five series against Excelsior 3-1. In the leads-up to the finals both teams faced intense competition with Valiant going up against the top-seeded Gladiators and Excelsior facing Dallas Fuel. Both teams won each of their semi-final match-ups 3-2.

Both teams advance to the playoffs. With quarterfinals scheduled to take place on July 12-15. With the Grand Final set to take at the end of July at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
