A while back we learned that Respawn was working on something Star Wars. With the studio made up of Call of Duty veterans and responsible for the excellent Titanfall series, there's definite buzz surrounding what it could be. At EA Play early this morning we got confirmation of both a title and release window.

The title, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. The release window, late 2019. And yeah, that's all we got. No teaser trailer, no gameplay footage, no logo. Just a rather big announcement dropped casually into an off-stage chat with Respawn’s Vince Zampella.

Oh, and the tidbit that it will take place between Episode III and Episode IV. Sounds pretty exciting - and a real shame we got to see nothing at all. Apparently EA were too busy creating CG trailers for upcoming mobile releases than to, you know, promote a rather massive new addition to the Star Wars library.

It was such an ‘awkward’ ‘reveal’ (that’s right, deserving of two separate inverted commas), and Zampella seemed super-sarcastic and disinterested. Also, just reveal it with a rolling title and the Star Wars music stinger.

Voxpop is not the way to go about it.
