As noted by EA head-honcho and possible android sent from the future to perpetually apologise for loot boxes in Star Wars, Andrew Wilson. Our one response - no. Making that slightly more polite - no thanks.
To cut a long story short, Command and Conquer Rivals is a mobile game. That was announced alongside a cinematic trailer featuring a supremely weird looking Kane.
Command & Conquer: Rivals, a fresh and innovative player versus player (PVP) real-time strategy game (RTS) built from the ground up for mobile devices. Taking advantage of mobile’s touch interface, Command & Conquer: Rivals gives players continuous control of their armies as they face off in intense head-to-head battles where skill and strategy are key to victory.
Gameplay was shown during the EA Play conference, and predictably it featured a lot of tapping on screens by a couple of "influencers" - in a painful reminder that the glory days of Westwood Studios is now so far in the past that EA are comfortable passing this off as news worthy. Let alone giving it E3 stage time. We haven't watched the following gameplay preview, because, well, we value our sanity.
