The long running fighting game series from Team Ninja has just received a surprise new entry announcement, with the reveal of Dead or Alive 6. Sporting a brand-new engine and full support for modern consoles, it's time to get excited again for Ryu Hayabusa, Zack, and ground-breaking jiggle-physics pioneer Kasumi.

Full reveal trailer below.

One of the key visual improvements being made to the interactive stages is how characters react and progress throughout each fight. From visible wounds to sweat and scuff marks, Dead or Alive 6 is adding a dose of realism to the look. Although not too much as the same over the top moves and fast-paced fighting looks to be coming too. Dead or Alive 6 is slated for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 release next year. Expect more at E3 next week.
