After rumours began to surface and credible sources revealed a potential Crackdown 3 delay, Microsoft today has confirmed that yes, Crackdown 3, is being pushed back to 2019. In a statement made to Windows Central, the delay is "to ensure we deliver the experience they [fans] deserve". Also confirming that it will be at E3 next week.

The full statement.

"Our fans' response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of "Crackdown 3" has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, "Crackdown 3" will be launching in Feb 2019. We look forward to sharing more on "Crackdown 3" this Sunday during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing."

You know what? This news has calmed quite a few of our concerns. Mainly because the delay doesn't seem all that major when a specific month is revealed. It adds the feeling that Crackdown 3 development is on a schedule. Okay, we've been here before but odds are that if Microsoft are planning to showcase Crackdown 3 as part of its E3 showcase then one would have to assume that it's in an impressive state.
