The weird and very cool Killer 7 from Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami, which first made its debut on the Nintendo GameCube, is coming to Steam. With Suda 51's Grasshopper Manufacture behind the port, word is that it's not so much a remaster than a new version that will incorporate PC controls and play at much higher resolutions than the original release.

Of which the stylish cel-shaded look of Killer 7 should translate well on modern hardware.

Dive into a dark world of underground assassins in a tale of revenge as Harman Smith, a man who manifests 7 deadly personalities into the real world, known as the killer7. Take control of this distinct murderers' row as they hunt down the sinister Kun Lan, to stop his plan of world dominance, and end his organization of deadly suicide bombers known as "Heaven Smile."

As the original came out well over a decade ago this is quite the welcome surprise, and really something that fans of Suda 51's No More Heroes should check out.
