According the usually reliable Charlie Intel comes a report that next year's Call of Duty from developer Infinity Ward will be Modern Warfare 4. An entry that we kind of assumed was in the works. Even though the Call of Duty community weren't all that pleased with the studio's recent efforts, apparently Modern Warfare 4 will be bringing back some key Respawn talent.

In that it's also being reported that Infinity Ward developers that left to help form Titanfall studio Respawn way back in 2010 have returned to work on the Modern Warfare sequel. Including art, animation, and design leads numbering in about eight people total returning to Infinity Ward. Like John Mundy (Senior Game Designer at Respawn, now Senior Game Designer at Infinity Ward) and Joel Emslie (Art Director at Respawn, now Studio Art Director at Infinity Ward). Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 came out in 2011.

Of course we won't be getting official confirmation on Call of Duty 2019 until, well, early 2019. In the meantime why not check out our interview with the current Call of Duty 2018 studio, Treyarch, as they talk about Black Ops 4 and the introduction of a new battle royale mode.

Not going to get my hopes up, it won't feel the same regardless who works on it. Very curious though
