Due to a high volume of errors and disconnections Rare will be temporarily removing two highly requested Sea of Thieves features that were due to arrive this week. Adn were, as they were included in the recent 1.0.7 update. Those being the ability to create and sail via a Private Crew option, and the ability to hand over consumable items to other pirates.

For the full Patch Note, head here. Which include word that both ship and pirate-to-skeleton battles have received performance boosts.

No doubt Rare has been working tirelessly since the launch of Sea of Thieves with timely and substantial patches. The first of six content drops planned for 2018 is still on track for 2018. So, even though the slight delay in Private Crews is slightly annoying - it's totally understandable.
