With the first three hours playable for free. This comes ahead of the full definitive edition release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this August. Divinity: Original Sin II is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Divinity: Original Sin, offering a vast expansive story and deep RPG mechanics. As part of the preview those who pre-order will get to play the entire first act on Xbox One.

Swen Vincke, Founder of developer Larian Studios, said the following.

We’ve done a lot work since launch to make DIVINITY: ORIGINAL SIN 2 even better, and Xbox Game Preview will let us discover how we can improve it even further. Our hope is that with the feedback we’ll collect, D:OS 2 – Definitive Edition will become one of the best RPG experiences available across the platforms. The changes and additions in the Definitive Edition are about 45 pages long, and all owners of Divinity: Original Sin will also benefit from these.

In addition to posting the following, and quite charming, video showcasing some early Xbox footage of the game.

Which we have to say looks pretty great already. Divinity: Original Sin II is currently available to play on PC, with the console versions being published by Bandai Namco.
