Late last year we reported that Blizzard was hiring for a new project using a "robust first-person engine", one that would feature vehicle handling of some kind. Now a new listing has appeared looking for a designer with experience "developing weapons, abilities, and gameplay systems in action or first-person shooter games". Plus a few mentions of the word competitive.

From looking for candidates with a "passion for competitive first-person shooter games" and listing experience with competitive shooters as a plus. This in no way confirms that whatever this new first-person action game is, currently being developed at Blizzard, is a new competitive shooter. But it does point in that general direction.

Which is strange considering the continued success of Overwatch and the Overwatch League. Also, there's no word of what franchise this project might be linked to if any. The job description is quite clever in not mentioning something like Overwatch or StarCraft.

A new crack at a reinvisioned StarCraft: Ghost?
