Death Road To Canada was due to be released today for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch but has found its release postponed due to the recent tragic event in Canada where a vehicle attack killed and injured innocent bystanders. The decision comes not due to any thematic link between the game and the event, but do to the title.
Which both developer Rocketcat Games and publisher Ukyo felt was the right move to make.
“We feel it would be deeply inappropriate to launch the game at such a time,” said Paul Hann, Managing Director of Ukiyo Publishing. “We would like to express our deepest condolences to everyone affected by the tragic events in Toronto.”
A new release date will be announced at a later date. Death Road to Canadam the self-described Randomly Generated Road Trip Simulator where players drive around and take on hordes of zombies is currently available on PC where it has found both critical and commercial success.
