In a new region located around the polar ice caps of the red planet - the Hellas Basin. With the name of the expansion referring to the awakening of the Warmind Rasputin and a fight alongside fellow Guardian Ana Bray. In addition to new story content, a new PvE mode called Escalation Protocol will be added alongside several PvP updates.

Plus, two new strikes called Strange Terrain and Will of the Thousands. PS4 players will gent an exclusive third strike called The Insight Terminus.



Escalation Protocol is a new type of public event triggered by players that will force groups to fend off waves of increasingly more powerful Grasp of Nokris Hive enemies. Where on the seventh wave a unique boss will appear, that will rotate each week. Sounds pretty cool, especially when you add in that Escalation Protocol will feature its own set of armor and weapons to collect.

Bungie is also reworking and revisiting just about every current Exotic in Destiny 2 meaning that the Warming update will include several changes to the core game when it launches May 8 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
