Where development will continue on the team's upcoming Egyptian-set In the Valley of the Gods. The announcement came over the weekend via Campo Santo's site where the small 12-person team notes that it found the right home with Valve.

In Valve we found a group of folks who, to their core, feel the same way about the work that they do (this, you may be surprised to learn, doesn’t happen every day). In us, they found a group with unique experience and valuable, diverse perspectives. It quickly became an obvious match.

Campo Santo's first game Firewatch garnered both critical and community acclaim thanks to its first-person narrative and focus on exploration. Campo Santo notes that the move to Valve wont impact its relationship with fans or how it approaches development.

But, it does mean that In the Valley of the Gods (as seen above) is now a Valve game. Like Firewatch it's a first-person adventure, this time set in Egypt in the 1920s. It's currently on track for release in 2019.
