One that is apparently located right new door to Hangar 13, the studio behind 2K's Mafia III. The news comes as part of a new Kotaku report
that details some of this issues that both plagued Mafia III during development and the studio post-launch. Where we learn that a small team located in a top-secret studio next door was working on a new BioShock game throughout 2017.
The revelations also confirm that 2K is playing it safe with the next installment in the BioShock series. By keeping the team small, it can properly explore the direction of the game without the burden of staffing up to hundreds of people whilst still in the planning stages.
As we're now well into 2018, perhaps that has changed and the new Unreal-engine powered BioShock is in a playable state. Whether or not we get an official announcement anytime soon it's great to hear that BioShock not only lives on, but that it's being treated properly.
