Which it has been working on for the past five months, with the announcement itself coming days after the studio declared that it was no longer actively working on LawBreakers content. Radical Heights, the new Battle Royale game from Boss Key takes the cartoon approach of Fortnite - but injects it with a sizable dose of '80s brightly coloured hair-metal cheese.

And BMX bikes.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Radical Heights is how cash plays into the whole futuristic game-show aesthetic. Players will be able to bank their winnings and withdraw funds in future games in order to buy weapons and gear.

“We’re huge fans of Battle Royale games along with the bright, inviting irreverence of the 80’s aesthetic. Because of that, we want to put our own spin on the genre and create a futuristic 80’s world that takes place in 2023 during an over-the-top game show where contestants battle it out for fame and prizes”, said Zach Lowery, Radical Heights Creative Director.

Radical Heights enters its 'X-TREME' Early Access phase tomorrow via Steam. As a free-to-play title a Founders Pack will be offered in order to help fund continued development and the purchase of Rad Gems with real-world money that can then be used to purchase in-game cosmetics.
