Epic Games' extremely popular multiplayer title Fortnite Battle Royale is set to make its mobile debut as an iOS app for Apple devices (with an Android version to follow at a later date), with sign-ups for early access now open. To celebrate the news Epic has released a new trailer showcasing footage from the mobile version.

And, it looks pretty good. Impressive even.

The most interesting aspect about this release no doubt is the fact that Fortnite Battle Royale will support cross-play. Meaning that someone playing on an iPhone can team up with or fight against against PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One players. So, it'll be interesting to see how touch controls shape up against a keyboard and mouse combo and a console pad.
