Because today is the day of big announcements, we've also got word that Epic Games are bringing Fortnite Battle Royal to iOS and Android. With the "same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates." Very cool. Also cross play support is coming for PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.

No Xbox One though, which seems to be a rather notable omission. Epic Games looks to have signed an exclusive agreement on that front with Sony. With Microsoft currently being the only console to house PUBG - we could be on the cusp of a Battle Royale, err, console exclusivity battle. Royale.

Ahem. Fortnite Battle Royale's mobile debut will begin on select iOS devices with signups set to open for an Invite Event next week. As it will be the full version of Fortnite Battle Royale, hardware requirements for the iOS version will be devices with iOS 11 and at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or any iPad 2017 device. Android owners will have to wait a few months it seems.

Epic Games' statement, "We believe this is the future of games. The same game on all platforms. Console quality graphics and action. Play when you want, where you want", certainly has a nice ring to it. But really, playing on mobile versus someone with a keyboard and mouse on a large screen will no doubt be somewhat of a handicap.
