With the excellent DUSK already making waves looks like we're all set to get another dose of classic old-school FPS action when AMID EVIL debuts on Steam Early Access next week. With visuals that place it firmly in the original Quake era, the feel is very much like a modern day Heretic. Albeit modern day by the way of the second-half of the 1990s.

Below is new footage from the horde-style mode coming alongside the Early Access release.

AMID EVIL's fast-paced and over-the-top action is a modern throwback to games like Heretic and Hexen. Yanking players back to a truly golden PC-age experience, AMID EVIL hosts savagely violent enemies and insane magical weaponry like tridents that shoot high voltage mystical electricity and katanas that expel enough force to mow down several enemies at once.

To pre-order head on over to the Steam page for AMID EVIL, where the Early Access version drops March 12. Which, will also feature three of the seven campaign episode that will be included in the final release.
