Built using the same, but updated, Build engine that powered Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, and the original Shadow Warrior. Developed by 3D Realms and Voidpoint, Ion Maiden sees Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison take on a cybernetic army in Neo DC in a no regenerating health bar, checkpoint-free, old-school shooter ripped from the mid-1990s.

Albeit updated to take advantage of modern hardware. In that you should have no issue getting this to run at 4K 60fps.

And yeah, it certainly looks cool. With an Early Access build along the lines of a Shareware demo now available on Steam. Which is basically the Shareware demo that you have to pay for. We love that the recommended GPU is either a GeForce GT 610 (1024 MB) or Radeon HD 6850 (1024 MB).

A full release for Ion Maiden is expected later this year.
