Speaking at the Pareto Securities Gaming Seminar, whatever that may be, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski took the time to talk a bit about the company and it's plans for the future. Touching on everything from the GOG.com platform to GWENT and of course Cyberpunk 2077. No new game details were revealed, but enough to add a bit more fuel to the hype train.
Of which, Cyberpunk 2007 might just be our most anticipated release outside of Red Dead.
"Cyberpunk is our new Witcher 3, but even more ambitious. Our goal is to establish a new blockbuster franchise from the beginning. We work [in a] new universe, futuristic universe. We believe it's very appealing to players, not only RPG players—but this is [a] true RPG, like Witcher, like Witcher 3, for mature audiences. It's handcrafted, detailed, of course open-world, with open-ended gameplay," CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski says in the following video (you'll need to jump to the 3 hour 16 minute mark).
In relation to the possibility of The Witcher 4, it looks sounds unlikely. For the moment, "We can't create Witcher 4, because that was a trilogy from the beginning. No one said that one day we won't decide to develop something in the Witcher universe. But now we're focusing on Cyberpunk and Gwent."
Rumours are pointing to a big Cyberpunk 2077 reveal at E3 this year, and we can't wait to finally see it in action.
