From Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes, Battletech will see the world of MechWarrior enter the turn-based strategy realm of XCOM when it launches in April. And if that sentence doesn't get you excited then perhaps you yourself might be a robot. In need of a pilot. New trailer after the jump.

Even though April is a month of so away, we don't have a specific date other than the knowledge that Battletech will be coming sometime then for Windows PC and Mac. And to bring you up to speed with the game we've got the first part in a new video series detailing what it means to control a mech in a turn-based battlefield.

The year is 3025 and the galaxy is trapped in a cycle of perpetual war, fought by noble houses with enormous, mechanized combat vehicles called BattleMechs.

Wow, this get's me excited. I loved the original Mechwarrior and Mechwarrior Tactic's and the Battletech Universe would be a great game for turn based strategy..... So long as they get it right.
