Fittingly too, because Shenmue dates back to the days of dial-up internet and something called a Sega Dreamcast. So of course we're getting a handful of Internet Age screenshots, and not much else. That being said this new batch reinforces the art style of Ryu's return, which aims to be more colourful and comic as opposed to realistic.
First up there's what looks like a slightly confused Ryu about to clobber an old man for taking a leak. We assume.
Then there's the excited child who's asking Ryu if he has seen her grandpa.
Next up we have Ryu further exploring sneaking up on people, this time with a weapon.
And finally the town's cartoon villain makes an appearance to show off his new cheek, lip, and bicep implants.
I kid of course, as a huge fan of the original Shenmue I'm definitely excited to play this when it eventually gets released. Which is still supposedly happening later this year.
