On February 22, Fable Fortune will leave Early Access and go free-to-play on Xbox One, Steam, and Windows 10. Developers Flaming Fowl Studios and Mediatonic, which include several ex-Lionhead Studios veterans have been working on the new collectible card game set in the Fable universe for a little while now. The full release, will also come alongside a huge update that includes a single-player story mode.

Called Heroic Tales which aims to recreate the histories of the game's Heroes. The launch edition will also come with detailed tutorials, several optimisations and of course plenty of new Fable-themed cards. There's also a Fable Fortune Founder's Pack ($14.99 USD) up for grabs that will offer rare cards and several card packs worth over $40 USD.

For a look at Fable Fortune in action, albeit a slightly older version (this is from six months ago), check out the gameplay video below.

Since the closure of Lionhead Studios, Fable Fortune has been keeping the flaming foul burning for the franchise. But in recent months several credible sources have been pointing to the existence of a new Fable game proper, currently in development at Playground Games the UK studio behind the excellent Forza Horizon series.
