Not that this sort of thing actually means all this stuff will be in the final game, but we do know that there will be a Kraken one Sea of Thieves launches in March. And as per the data obtained by
redditor m4rx, it seems the Kraken will interact with players - in the eating, spitting, and water-dunking sense.
In addition to the mythical sea creature which Closed Beta players have been seeing strange paintings of on rocks on certain islands (plus hearing weird sounds when sailing about), the data also hints at a bunch of expected features coming to Sea of Thieves.
Like ship customisation in form of switching out cannons, masts, wheels, liveries, and the addition of new weapons like harpoon guns. Which, would be awesome if hunting for sharks becomes a thing you can do. Then there's the revelation that in the code there's references to a number of new items, more food, and other enemies outside of the skeletons currently found in the Closed Beta.
And speaking of the Closed Beta, which is still active, Rare and Microsoft are extending the pirate-y fun until Wednesday, January 31 at 7:00PM AEDT.
