With a multiplayer beta expected to kick-off at the end of January. Age of Empires Definitive Edition is the remake and remaster of the 1997 original, with new 4K visuals and a re-recorded soundtrack and several gameplay improvements.

Looks good.

Sing-ups for the upcoming beta are still open. Age of Empires Definitive Edition is a re-commitment to the franchise from Microsoft which will see additional Definitive Editions being released, including an upcoming new entry Age of Empires 4 - with development being handled by Relic Entertainment (Dawn of War, Company of Heroes).
